Creating/saving new orders

Hi,

Our customer service team is creating over the day a lot of orders. With older versions of Hansa when we were creating a new orders and when you press save it was automatically populating latest order number from the list. But now it just stays blank and error message saying "already exists".
New order number now have to be picked up manually from the list.
Is it possible to resolve it?
