If you would like to have the Item Status bar opened automatically, once you open a Sales Order or Delivery or Sales Invoice or Purchase Order, then you need to go to Sales ledger (Accounts Receivable) module, open Settings and from the Item Settings.
Tick the checkbox: 'Show Item Status'
