The system allows to post a transactions amount with no account: when the account is deleted the system does not delete the amount. The amount posted with no account goes to nowhere so the trail does not balance. The only way to detect where is this difference is review transaction by transaction. there is no report that detect this kind of difference.

Hello Paula,

We have tested thoroughly and found a case you mentioned. Account can be deleted if update mark is used.
This is a bug, and we will fix it ASAP.

Thank you Tayla, but is not about deleting a Chart of Account. Is about that the system allows to post a Journal entry with no account on it but with a balance. I am attaching a transaction journal, please check the transaction mark in yellow

Hello,

Please provide exact steps how to repeat your case.

We mean step by step, what did you do, as system does not allow to delete accounts if it was used. Also it does not let to post nominal ledger transactions if account is missing.

Waiting for your steps how you did it.

I can not describe you what we did since I figure it out because my financial statement didn't balance so I start looking where was the difference at i found there was a journal entry with no account but with balance. I can not tell you how it happen just show you the journal I already attached.

Maybe after save the journal the account number in the JE was deleted by mistake.

We never delete the account in the register, is no about that, just the account number in the journal entry is missing
